GraceWorks was created in early 2014 to address the primary needs recognized in our community - poverty and unemployment. The idea was to create a Social Enterprise, a non-profit business for the sole purpose of benefiting those served. In June that year Grace acquired an assistant priest who had an undergraduate degree in printmaking and was an expert in screen printing. We quickly set up a print shop and volunteers from the congregation helped him design and print our first greeting cards. In 2015, the first part-time employee was hired. She was a young mother with three children who was homeless. She and her family are still with us at Grace. In 2016, two more part-time employees were hired. Today the GraceWorks inventory includes a wide variety of greeting cards, candles, jewelry, soaps, aprons, and tote bags.
